Jackson Lane Pty Ltd was engaged by
the Bechtel/Clough Joint Venture to design an accommodation module and a
workshop module for the Harriet A platform in Western Australia.
Formerly owned by Bond Petroleum, the field is now owned and operated by
Apache Energy.
The design was completed by LSL Group, a joint venture company of
Jackson Lane Architects and Svars & Lillas Pty Ltd, structural
engineers. The quarters module was a stiffened plate, stressed skin
steel structure housing a process control room and crew quarters. The
HVAC electrical and fire and gas protection systems were included in our
design scope of work. The project was subject to certification by
Lloyds.
The design included a novel system of large prefabricated steel panels
for floors, walls and roof which permitted rapid site assembly.
