This project involved the refit and
conversion of an existing VLCC tanker vessel to accommodate deck mounted
crude oil receiving and processing equipment. A new process control
room was provided in the existing accommodation block and crew amenities
and cabins were substantially upgraded. All asbestos board deckhead
linings were replaced with non-asbestos materials using approved
containment and monitoring procedures. Jackson Lane Pty Ltd was
responsible for preparation of detail design for modifications to crew
accommodation spaces to suit revised crewing arrangements and new process
control facilities. The work involved modifications to galley, mess
rooms and pantries as well as public recreation rooms and stores. A
crude oil sampling laboratory was also provided. Construction
supervision work was undertaken at the IHI Shipyard in Yokahama, Japan. |
